“BITING THE BAMBOO ”, A COMMUNITY PROJECT AND MORE
ITE College Central published a book, “Biting the Bamboo” (Mandarin edition), as part of the Community Enterprise Project (CEP) undertaken by the College and author Dr Tan Lai Yong. Under the CEP, ITE students took up community work in rural Yunan with the guidance of Dr Tan, who wrote about his experiences of living there for almost 11 years, training village doctors and helping the poor. The book was launched on 3 November 2006.
ITE'S “JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT” A WORLD-CLASS ACT
The much-celebrated Broadway Musical by Andrew Lloyd Webber, “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat”, was staged by the ITE Centre for Music & the Arts to rave reviews. Minister of State for Education and Manpower, Mr Gan Kim Yong, was among the spectators charmed by the multi-talented ITE student performers. The musical ran from 15 to 17 November 2006. |
