APRIL 2006

CHINA ON ITE'S AGENDA
ITE’s Global Education Programme received a boost with the inauguration of the ITE Alumni Association’s first Overseas Chapter in China. The Chapter, located in Suzhou, would identify opportunities for industrial stints for ITE students in China. This was made possible through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between ITE and its overseas partners inked on 13 April 2006 at Flextronics Enclosure Systems (Changzhou) Ltd.

ITE, IN TOUCH WITH HOSPITALITY INDUSTRY
Thanks to a partnership forged between ITE and 10 hospitality-related organisations, ITE students could pick up industry know-how first-hand. On 19 April 2006, ITE signed an MoU with Conrad Centennial Singapore, The Fullerton Hotel Singapore, ISS Facility Services Pte Ltd, Kriston Food & Beverage Pte Ltd, Les Amis Pte Ltd, Marmalade Pte Ltd, Orchard Hotel Singapore, Pan Pacific Singapore, Plaza Parkroyal Singapore, and Singapore Airport Terminal Services Ltd.

RENEWING TIES TO NURTURE STUDENT ENTREPRENEURS
More ITE students would have a chance to nurture their entrepreneurial streak through workshops and enrichment seminars with ITE renewing its collaboration for another five years on the Shell LiveWIRE programme. ITE renewed its partnership with ITE Alumni Association, Shell Companies in Singapore and Singapore Press Holdings on 28 April 2006. ITE had since 2000 nurtured budding entrepreneurs through the Shell LiveWIRE programme.
