During the year, more ITE students were able to take up the opportunity to acquire a global mindset and skills set via the Global Education Programme (GEP). A total of 1,380 ITE students or 11.5 per cent of student cohort took part in the Programme and observed experiential learning in 13 countries.

Global Advantage
ITE hosted the first International Conference on Vocational and Technical Education (VTE) in FY 2006 and brought together VTE practitioners from the international community to address the challenges of VTE in a global economy.

Network, Network
As part of the ITE Advantage plan to brand ITE internationally, ITE extended its international-certificate courses overseas. By the end of
FY 2006, ITE had exported five of these courses to China and Vietnam by entering into licensing agreements with local training providers that have a foothold in overseas education.
