About ITE
CEO's Message

ITE is at the threshold of a new chapter of our development. I have just taken over as Director & Chief Executive Officer in February 2007.

In 2005, ITE became the first education institution in Singapore to win the Singapore Quality Award, the highest award in Singapore for business excellence. While we celebrate this achievement, we are not resting on our laurels.

Established in 1992, ITE is today an internationally-recognised, post-secondary education institution providing school leavers with our unique brand of “Hands-on, Minds-on, Hearts-on” College Education. We have nurtured and produced many all-rounded graduates with the education and skills to face the challenges of the global marketplace.

To date, over 280,000 of Singapore’s workforce have benefited from an ITE education. The knowledge, skills and

values they acquired at ITE have put many on the path to success in their careers as skilled professionals. Many ITE graduates have gone on to become supervisors, managers and entrepreneurs, locally and abroad. An increasing number of ITE graduates have gone on to further their studies at the diploma and degree levels. In recent years, we have also taken ITE education overseas to places like Shanghai, Beijing and Vietnam.

The journey ahead is exciting and challenging. The pace of change will intensify with rapid globalisation, changes in the environment and the emergence of new technologies and rising expectations of stakeholders and customers. These will make our operating environment even more challenging.

ITE will continue to stay ahead of the curve amidst this rapidly-changing environment. It will continue to reinforce its core strengths in existing areas while venturing into new areas to meet industry needs, offering new programmes. ITE will also seek further local and overseas opportunities for students’ development and progression. We will build two more comprehensive regional colleges with the best learning facilities under our “One ITE System, Three Colleges” Governance and Education Model. We will intensify the capability development of staff to respond to the fast-evolving technology and business environment.

We invite you to join us in this exciting journey, as we launch our next phase of development to be A Global Leader in Technical Education.
