Meet the Editorial Committee

IT was like a meeting of old friends when ITE visited its long-time industry partner, Borneo Motors (Singapore) Pte Ltd at the company’s premises along Alexandra Road on 12 November 2009.

Mr Koh Chin Hong, Borneo Motors’ Managing Director (Southeast Asia), welcomed the ITE team, led by Mr Bruce Poh, Director & CEO, ITE, and presented an overview of the Singapore automotive market at the start of the visit. Mr Koh also shared on the company’s training and development programme.

A Timely Gift
The icing on the cake, however, came after the site tour of the Toyota and Lexus showrooms – the presentation of two brand new cars to ITE. In a simple ceremony, Borneo Motors handed over the keys to a Toyota Altis and an LPG Crown Comfort to ITE, for use in the practical training of students in the Nitec in Automotive Technology programme.

With the Automotive Technology course moving to the new ITE College West regional campus in the latter half of 2010, the gift of new cars could not have been timelier!
