GUIDELINES ON USE OF CALCULATORS IN THE EXAMINATIONS
INSTITUTE OF TECHNICAL EDUCATION

(A) |
Programmable calculators and those with permanent features of a programmed kind such as numerical integration, matrix or symbolic algebraic manipulation. |

(B) |
Calculators that give out sound, need external power supply or transmit signals. |
|
|
(C) |
Calculators with print function. |
|
|
(D) |
Calculators with language translation features. |
|
|
(E) |
Calculators that use typewriter-style QWERTY keypads. |
|
|
(F) |
Calculators that allow data entry via electronics writing pads or pen input devices. |
|
|
(G) |
Calculators that have graph plotting capability. |
|
|
(H) |
Calculators that allow access to websites, e-mail or messages (voice, text, graphic or pictorial). |
|
|
(I) |
Calculators that perform any of the following functions: memo, address book, scheduler, digital diary, database management or spreadsheet. |
