Full-time
and Traineeship Students
Upon successful completion of a module,
a student will earn a number of credits assigned to
the module. Students will graduate and be awarded
the full certificate after they have accumulated the
required number of credits for the course of study
within the specific duration.
Once students have successfully completed the course,
they will receive a transcript and course certificate.
The transcript will show the results of all the modules
they have taken during the course.
Full-time Higher Nitec or Nitec students who passed at least one core module but did not complete their course of study successfully are eligible for a Module Certificate for the modules passed. The online application for the Module Certificate must be made within 12 months from the date of leaving. The Module Certificate recognises the achievements of these students in ITE and enhances their chance of employment. These students can also continue their training under the CET framework when they are ready to do so.

Part-time
Students
A Module Certificate for a Higher Nitec or Nitec course of study will be awarded for the module(s) that a student passed in an examination series. Students who meet the certification requirements of a course of study in the same mode of training within 6 years from the first examination will be awarded the Higher Nitec or Nitec or ISC full certificate. Nitec students who passed any 4 modules (excludes module exemption) of an 8-module Nitec course of study will be awarded a Nitec (Intermediate) certificate.
Application for Module Recognition / Module Exemption
During their course of study, part-time students should apply for module exemptions upfront where applicable so that they will be awarded the Higher Nitec / Nitec full certificate automatically upon completion of their outstanding module(s), instead of having to apply for evaluation for the award of Higher Nitec / Nitec full certificate. Click here for more details on the application for module recognition / module exemption.
