AWARDS
Community Development Council & Citizen's Consultative
Committee-Institute of Technical Education (CDC &
CCC-ITE) Scholarship
The CDC & CCC-ITE Scholarship is open to Singaporean
school leavers who have been selected for ITE's full-time
courses and are in the top 10 per cent of GCE 'N'
/ GCE 'O' level entrants at each intake exercise.
Company-sponsored students admitted to ITE's full-time
or traineeship courses are also eligible for the
Scholarship.
Successful recipients will be informed by ITE. No
application is required.
Each scholarship will be given for the duration of
the course. For recipients in a 2-year course,
renewal in the second year of study is subject to
their performance and conduct during the first year
of study.
The value of the award is $1,200 per year.
Recipients of the CDC & CCC-ITE Scholarship will
not be eligible for the Edusave Merit Bursary or any
other ITE or government-funded scholarship/bursary
awards.

Community
Development Council & Citizen's Consultative Committee-Institute
of Technical Education (CDC & CCC-ITE) Bursary
The CDC & CCC-ITE Bursary is open to Singaporean
applicants seeking admission to ITE full-time courses.
The bursary quantum will depend on the gross monthly
household income of applicants. Details are given
in the table below:

Each award is for one year. A full-time student undergoing
training in a 2-year course will need to re-apply
for the bursary at the start of the second year.
Applicants for the bursary must not be in receipt
of the CDC & CCC-ITE Scholarship or any other
ITE or government-funded scholarship/bursary award.
Company-sponsored students and trainees are not eligible
for the CDC & CCC-ITE Bursary.
Applicants are required to submit a Family Income
Declaration through the web and submit the supporting
income documents (eg latest payslips, letters from
employers) to the Campus Administration Office for
verification. Applicants can follow the steps below
to submit their Family Income Declaration through
the web:
Logon to Student Portal with ID and password.
Click on "eStudent Administration System"
hyperlink.
Click on "For Students -> Financial Services
-> Apply For CDC & CCC-ITE Bursary"
Those who qualify for the Bursary will be issued the
CDC & CCC-ITE Bursary application form for them
to submit to the CCs nearest their homes. Successful
applicants will be informed by the respective CCCs.

Edusave
Awards for Achievement, Good Leadership and Service
(EAGLES)
The EAGLES is given to recognise students for their
leadership qualities, service to community and excellence
in the non-academic areas, i.e. Sports & Games,
Uniform Groups, Arts and Cultural Activities, Clubs
and Societies, and Community Service. Up to 5% of
full-time ITE students who are Singapore citizens
will be selected for the award yearly. No application
for the award is required. Each award is valued at
$150.

Edusave Merit Bursary
The Edusave Merit Bursary is awarded to ITE full-time
students in recognition of their academic performance.
If you are a Singapore citizen and your family's gross
monthly income is less than $4,000, you qualify for
this award if you are ranked within the top 25% of
your course based on your examination results for
the training year. Each award is valued at $400.
All eligible students will be informed by their respective
CCCs on the application procedure.

Good
Progress Award
The Good Progress Award is aimed at rewarding the
top 10% of ITE full-time Singaporean students who
show commendable improvements in their studies. They
must have passed all the accountable modules in the
examinations and must not be receipt of the Edusave
Merit Bursary or CDC & CCC-ITE Scholarship. No
application for the award is required as the students
who have shown good progress in training will be identified.
Each award is valued at $300.

ITE Arts Excellence Award
ITE Arts Excellence Award is given to full-time
students who have displayed outstanding performance
in music and the arts at the national or youth level.
The value of the award is $800 for
one academic year only. A full-time student in a 2-year
course will have to re-apply for the award at the
beginning of his second year of study.

ITE Awards For Good Leadership & Services (Non-Citizen) - NEW!
This award is available to non-Singaporean students to recognise their leadership qualities, service to community and excellence in the non-academic areas. Up to 5% of full-time non-Singaporean students will be selected for the award yearly.

ITE CCA
Medal
The ITE CCA Medal is awarded to ITE full-time students
who have brought honours to ITE through their achievements
in sports and games or have contributed significantly
to the enhancement of campus life and demonstrated
outstanding leadership in their chosen CCA. The awardees
will be selected from among the recipients of EAGLES.
Each awardee will receive a Certificate and a Medal.

ITE Sports Excellence Award
ITE Sports Excellence Award is given to full-time
students who have displayed outstanding performance
in sports and games at the national, youth or combined
schools level. The value of the award is $800
for one academic year only. A full-time student in
a 2-year course will have to re-apply for the award
at the beginning of his second year of study.

Lee Kuan Yew CCA Award
The Lee Kuan Yew CCA Award is a recognition of
excellence in CCA accorded to the most deserving ITE
students who have distinguished themselves among the
ITE CCA Medallists. A maximum of 3 awards will be
presented each year. The Award comprises a cash quantum
of $500, a trophy and a certificate.

Kuan Yew Model Student/Trainee Award
The Lee Kuan Yew Model Student/Trainee Award is presented
to full-time students and trainees who have performed
consistently well in their course and have displayed
outstanding conduct and attitude worthy of emulation
by their peers. The Award serves to inspire students
and trainees to display exemplary behaviour in training
and develop high moral values as well as show care
and concern for others. A maximum of 10 awards will
be presented each year. The Award comprises a cash
quantum of $500, a trophy and a certificate.

Lee Kuan Yew Technology Award
The Lee Kuan Yew Technology Award is presented
to students who have developed excellent projects
that embody quality, technical innovation and creativity.
The Award serves to inspire students to develop a
zeal for challenges, creativity and competition. A
maximum of 10 awards will be presented each year.
The Award comprises a cash quantum of $500
and a trophy. Each member of the project team also
receives a certificate.

Singapore
Armed Forces-Institute of Technical Education Sponsorship
Scheme (SISS)
Students seeking admission to ITE full-time courses
may apply for sponsorship under the SISS. Under the
scheme, the Ministry of Defence will sponsor students
for the duration of their full-time courses. The sponsorship
covers tuition fees, training expenses, insurance
premium and other compulsory fees. In addition, they
will receive a monthly training allowance ranging
from $550 to $750 depending on the level of the course
and the type of vocation applied.
Sponsored students are required to
serve a bond upon completion of their courses. They
may choose to join the Army, Navy or Air Force. For

Special Student
Assistance Scheme
The Special Student Assistance Scheme (SSAS) is aimed at providing financial assistance to help full-time students who require financial support after the application period for the CDC & CCC-ITE Bursary. In a way, the SSAS is an exigency scheme to provide support to needy students, so that they can continue with their technical training.
Financial assistance under the SSAS could comprise waiver of fees and/or cash award. Only Singapore citizens are eligible for waiver of fees while cash award can be extended to all needy students regardless of citizenship.
To be eligible for the SSAS award, a full-time student should meet the following criteria:
Has gross monthly household per capita income (PCI) ≤ $500 at the time of application;
Is not in receipt of the CDC & CCC-ITE Scholarship or Bursary;
Is not a sponsored student or a trainee; and
Has at least 3 months’ study to undergo till the end of the academic year.
To apply for financial assistance under the scheme, applicants will be required to complete a prescribed application form and submit it with supporting income documents to the College where he/she is studying.

Other Awards
From time to time, other external organisations and
companies may offer scholarship or awards to ITE full-time
students in specific courses. There are also other
awards available to students who may be in need of
financial assistance. These are offered by ITE and
the respective College Advisory Committees. More information
on these awards is obtainable from the respective
ITE campuses.
