Objective |
|
This course provides students with the skills and knowledge to install, test and service electronic circuits and equipment and construction of electronic projects. This course also provides training in one of the four specialisations - Computer & Networking, Instrumentation, Wafer Fabrication and Wireless LAN.
- Computer & Networking
This specialisation provides students with the skills and knowledge to install, test and service and commission computer, network and other electronics equipment which include microcomputer system, network system, PC-related and microcomputer-based equipment and computer peripherals.
- Instrumentation
This specialisation provides students with the skills and knowledge to install, calibrate, maintain and troubleshoot equipment and systems that measure and control electronic signals and other process variables such as level, temperature, pressure, flow and position.
- Wafer Fabrication
This specialisation provides students with the skills and knowledge to operate and maintain semiconductor manufacturing equipment and perform inspection and test in one or more wafer fabrication processes involving cleaning, diffusion, ion-implantation, photolithography, thin filming, plasma/wet etching and functional and reliability test.
- Wireless LAN
This specialisation provides students with the skills and knowledge to install, test, service and commission the hardware and infrastructure for a Wireless LAN.

Requirements |
- 3 GCE 'N' level passes including
Mathematics or Science; or
- Any 2 GCE 'O' level subjects (Grade 1-8);
or
- Passed ISC/CoC in Electronics Manufacturing;
or
- Passed ISC/CoC in Wafer Fabrication; or
- WDA Employability Skills System level with L5 in Literacy (Reading) and L5 in Literacy (Listening) and L6 in Numeracy.
- Applicant should be free from colour blindness.
