NITEC IN MECHATRONICS
Course Objective
This course provides students with multi-disciplinary skills and knowledge to install, set up, operate, maintain and service industrial automated production equipment and systems. This course also provides training in one of the three specialisations – Automation Technology, Equipment Assembly and Medical Technology.

M2 CAD & Mechanical Maintenance

On completion of the module, students should be able to read, interpret and produce geometrical, mechanical and electrical drawings using Computer-Aided Drafting (CAD) software; and fabricate metal parts according to specifications in working drawings and work samples and carry out maintenance to service, adjust and align mechanical elements.

Entry Requirements
  • 3 GCE 'N' level passes including Mathematics or Science; or
  • Any 2 GCE 'O' level passes (Grade 1-8); or
  • Passed ISC/CoC in Autonomous Maintenance; or
  • Passed ISC in Electrical Servicing; or
  • Singapore Workforce Development Agency (WDA) Employability Skills System (ESS) level with L5 in Literacy (Reading) and L5 in Literacy (Listening) and L6 in Numeracy.
  • Applicant should be free from colour blindness.

Note:
Not all the modules will be offered every term. Modules are offered based on the availability of training facilities and the number of applications.

 
Training Schedule

Evening classes – Lessons are held two evenings a week, from 1845 hours to 2145 hours.

Weekend classes – Lessons are held once a week, from 0900 hours to 1600 hours.
