Course Content

This course enables participants to identify the roles and responsibilities of a coach and impart their skills and knowledge effectively. Participants will also learn how to help their trainees and co-workers discover and develop their individual potential in using newly-learnt skills and knowledge to meet the performance standards.

The following areas will be covered:

  • Roles and responsibilities of a coach/supervisor
  • Communication skills
  • Coaching process
  • Assessment (participants will be required to conduct a 10 minute coaching session in a task that is related to their area of work)

Admission Guidelines
Participants who are applying for the course conducted in English should preferably have an English competency level of at least GCE 'O' level C6.

Participants who are more comfortable in the Mandarin language are advised to apply for the course conducted in Mandarin.

Certification
Participants will be awarded with the Industry Trainer Module Certificate if they satisfy at least 75% of the attendance and pass the assessment at the end of the course.

27hrs (4 days; 9.00am to 5.15pm)

Fees
$390 ($364.49 + $25.51 GST).

Companies who wish to apply for SDF subsidy will pay ITE the full fees and then apply to SDF through SkillsConnect system.

For courses commencing from 1 Jul 2010, all applications for training assistance for course fees and absentee payroll funding should be made in the SkillsConnect system. The SRPNet system will stop accepting new applications from 1 Jul 2010 onwards.
