Supervisors are now expected to not only manage tasks, but also to coach, inspire, motivate and communicate directions to their subordinates and peers. How well supervisors assume these new roles and responsibilities will impact team performance and ultimately the organisation's bottom line. This course aims to equip supervisors with the necessary skills and strategies to enhance group performance and produce results!

Objectives
At the end of the course, participants will be able to:
Explain the 4 core skills of effective supervising
Delegate effectively
Reduce miscommunication through more effective communication skills
Demonstrate team thinking and building skills
Develop effective motivational strategies to induce greater commitment from subordinates

Certification
Participants will be awarded with the Certificate of Achievement if they satisfy at least 75% of the attendance.

Course Facilitator: Mr Oliver Teo
Oliver has been an organisational trainer for the past 10 years and has trained over 1000 employee places. In his tenure, he has helped companies be ‘firsts’ in their industries to be recognized as approved training centres and working partners with the Institute of Technical Education, thereby contributing to their competitive edge.

He has trained participants from organisations such as The Singapore Police Force, Immigration & Checkpoints Authority, Housing & Development Board, Ministry of Trade and Industry, SBS Transit, Econ Healthcare, SIA Engineering, MINDEF and BM Nagano. He is frequently remarked to be a lively, dynamic and effective facilitator through participants’ feedback.

ompany-sponsored applicants who are Singaporeans or Permanent Residents who wish to apply for SDF assistance will pay ITE the full fees and then apply to SDF for assistance using Form 1. The form must reach SDF latest 1 day before class commencement. The form may be downloaded from www.sdf.gov.sg.
