This course is aimed at enhancing the instructional effectiveness of technical instructors and supervisors. The course will cover the following areas:

• Effective facilitation of teaching and learning
• Using instructional media
• Presenting a lesson
• Demonstrating a skill
• Assessment (participants are required to conduct a 10 minute lesson on a topic that is related to their area of work.)

Admission Guidelines
Participants who are applying for the course conducted in English should preferably have an English competency level of at least GCE 'O' level C6.

Participants who are more comfortable in the Mandarin language are advised to apply for the course conducted in Mandarin.

Certification
Participants will be awarded with the Industry Trainer Module Certificate if they satisfy at least 75% of the attendance and pass the assessment at the end of the course.

Duration
24 hrs (3 days; 9.00am to 5.15pm)*

*This course comprises 20 hrs training (3 full days) and 4 hrs coursework done on participant's own time. Participants need not be present at ITE to complete the coursework.

Fees
$410 ($383.18 + $26.82 GST)

Companies who wish to apply for SDF subsidy will pay ITE the full fees and then apply to SDF through SkillsConnect system.

For courses commencing from 1 Jul 2010, all applications for training assistance for course fees and absentee payroll funding should be made in the SkillsConnect system. The SRPNet system will stop accepting new applications from 1 Jul 2010 onwards.
