Embracing Social Services? Yes we’re in!
Origami is the Japanese art of paper folding. The name “Origami” is actually derived from the Japanese words 'Oru' (to fold) and 'Kami' (paper). So what has origami or paper folding got to do with our students embracing social services… lots actually. Our students folded more than 20,000 paper cranes to raise 2,000 kg of rice for various charities and emerged the winner in the National Council of Social Services Youths Embrace Social Services (YES2) 2007 awards.
