Signing Ceremony of the Institut Paul Bocuse Worldwide Agreement

On 27 March 2008, ITE College West at Clementi hosted the Signing Ceremony of the Institut Paul Bocuse (IPB) Worldwide Alliance Agreement between ITE and the Institut Paul Bocuse.

The ceremony was graced by Special Guest, Mr Jean Marie Demange, Minister-Counsellor, Embassy of France in Singapore and Mr Bruce Poh, Director and CEO of ITE. It was well attended by industry partners from the hospitality industry as well as supporting government agencies.

During the event, guests and industry members were given a glimpse of our existing hospitality training facilities and chefs’ expertise through the demonstrations conducted by Chef Jutet Lim, an alumnus of IPB and Chef Justin Chua, our Section Head for Pastry and Baking. Our future Regional Campus was once again featured in a video fly though as part of the programme.

IPB is a world-renowned culinary and hospitality institution in Lyon, France which produces some of the world’s finest chefs in French cuisine, and we are proud that ITE was selected as IPB’s 10 th Alliance member over several other institutions in Southeast Asia, as its first and exclusive member in the region.

ITE’s membership in the Worldwide Alliance and partnership with IPB is a significant milestone for ITE College West, which has a major focus in hospitality services education and training. We believe that the ITE-Institut Paul Bocuse partnership will grow and contribute significantly to the hospitality and tourism industry in Singapore and the region for many years to come.
