With evolvement of business events, i.e. Meetings, Incentives, Conventions and Exhibitions (MICE), and special events, competent and skilled event professionals are highly sought after. Through the training in MICE, Festival & Celebrations, Facilities & Venue Management, Event Sales & Sponsorship and Event Operations Planning & Management modules, you will develop event organisational skills that will equip you to manage on-site operations, coordinate event logistics, write and present compelling proposals, and engage effectively with suppliers and customers.

Additionally, you will have the opportunity to delve into sustainability, hygiene and safety practices of events through the study of the Event Business Environment module. You will also be challenged to navigate and create new experiences in new virtual or hybrid events using appropriate technology applications through Digital Event Management and Event Experience Management modules.

Students will supplement their trade skills with Business Analytics, Digital Commerce & Marketing and Customer Relationship Management to make informed data-driven decisions, curate and create meaningful customer experiences and achieve effective returns on engagement.

What you'll learn

  • Coordinate project requirements detailed in the project plan
  • Support and manage delegates/attendees for a positive event experience
  • Handle the execution of multiple activities in project plans
  • Make independent incremental improvements on the steps to execute project plans to enhance efficiency
  • Handle event logistics on administrative support, onsite coordination and site inspections

Entry Requirements

Admission to Year 1 of the 3-year curriculum structure:

GCE ‘O’ level grades in any 2 subjects:

  • Grade 1-8

or

GCE ‘N’ level passes in English Language and 2 other subjects:

  • Grade A-D or Grade 1-5

Higher Nitec in Event Management graduates may apply for progression to the following Work-Study Diploma courses at ITE:


Higher Nitec in Event Management graduates with a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.0 and above may apply for progression to a Technical Diploma course at ITE. For more details on progression, please click here.

Higher Nitec in Event Management graduates are employed by Professional Conference/ Exhibition/ Event organisers, Destination Management companies, event companies, venue operators, hotels and many other organisations responsible for organising and managing seminars, meetings, conferences and special events. Some of the job titles held by graduates include Events Coordinator/ Executive and Project Coordinator/ Executive.
