The sports industry is adapting rapidly to an increasingly digital world, offering exciting career opportunities to passionate and energetic individuals.

Through the learning of the Sports Science, Fitness Testing & Design, Sports Nutrition and Sports Coaching modules, you will acquire competence to do research and develop training plans to optimise impact on the target audience. You will enhance your competitive advantage by developing skills required for designing and implementing creative programmes, taught in the Sports Events Management & Marketing and Community Activity & Recreation Programme Development modules.

Besides trade skills, you would also learn the tools and techniques offered in the Elementary Business Analytics and Digital Commerce & Marketing modules, to make informed decisions, provide quality customer experience and achieve operational excellence.

Applicants for the course should preferably have a strong background and passion for sports and be physically fit and active.

  • Carry out community recreation and activity programmes
  • Perform fitness testing and program design
  • Assist the coach
  • Implement sport safety prevention and management
  • Conduct group exercise class
  • Provide quality customer service to participants and clients of gyms, country clubs and other fitness and sports clubs and associations
  • Carry out routine finance and general administration matters for management of sports activities

Entry Requirements

GCE 'O' level grades in English Language, Mathematics/ Principles of Accounts and 1 other subject:

  • Grade 1-7 in English Language
  • Grade 1-8 in Mathematics (Elementary/Additional) or Principles of Accounts*
  • Grade 1-7 in one other subject
    *To be eligible for selection, you must have sat for Mathematics (Elementary/Additional).

Note:

  • Applicants for this course will have to pass a prescribed medical examination.
