- Process piping system including P & ID (Process and Instrumentation) diagrams, piping layouts and details, tanks and vessels.
- Process plant mechanical components and assembly.

To apply for the Higher Nitec in Process Plant Design course, you need to have:

* GCE N(A) school leavers who applied during the January intake under the Direct Entry Scheme will undergo 10 weeks of preparatory programme followed by 2 years of Higher Nitec training.

Higher Nitec in Process Plant Design graduates with good results may apply for progression to the first year of a related diploma course at the Polytechnics.
Higher Nitec in Process Plant Design graduates are
employed by companies involved in Front End Engineering Design (FEED), Engineering, Procurement, Construction/Design (EPC/EPCD) for the Oil and Gas, Petrochemical and Pharmaceutical Industries.
There are excellent opportunities for career advancement to supervisory positions and beyond. The challenge is for students to upgrade their technical skills and knowledge by taking up higher-level courses.
To obtain the Higher Nitec in Process Plant Design certification, you need to accumulate at least 71 credits.
