On completion of the module, students should be able to service and replace automotive engine components.
- Transmission Service (6 credits)

On completion of the module, students should be able to service and replace electrical system components.
SPECIALISATION MODULES
- Engine Technology (7 credits)
On completion of the module, students should be able to check and analyse automotive engine operating problems and carry out major engine correction and recondition jobs.
- Engine Management (7 credits)
On completion of the module, students should be able to troubleshoot, test and correct electronically and mechanically controlled engine systems, and carry out major repair work on spark ignition and compressed engines involving ignition, emission and fuel injection and automotive air-conditioning system.
- Control Technology (Light Vehicles) (7 credits)
On completion of the module, students should be able to troubleshoot, test and correct automotive control systems problems involving power brake, power steering and suspension system faults.
- Transmission Technology (Light Vehicles) (7 credits)
On completion of the module, students should be able to diagnose and repair operating problems of manual transmission, automatic transmission, carry out major repair work on the transmission systems and diagnose vehicle electrical system faults.

On completion of the module, students should be able to plan and manage a project, and apply the skills and knowledge acquired in the course of learning to solve practical problems

On completion of the module, students should be able to overhaul and troubleshoot an electronic control transmission.
- Vehicle and Motorcycle Inspection (2 credits)
On completion of the module, students should be able to perform roadworthiness inspection and tests on vehicles and motorcycles.
- Workshop Supervision and Customer Reception (2 credits)
On completion of the module, students should be able to supervise servicing jobs and communicate to customers with good customer service skills.
- Industry Attachment (2 credits)
Students will undergo an On-the-Job Training (OJT) course with automotive companies to complement and reinforce the skills and knowledge acquired at ITE and to develop competencies in other specialised areas.
