Nitec in Machine Technology

Progression Opportunities

Nitec in Machine Technology graduates with a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.5 and above may apply for progression to the first year of a related diploma course at the Polytechnics. For more details on diploma courses for progression, please refer to the Joint Polytechnic Admissions website.

Nitec in Laser & Tooling Technology graduates with a GPA of 2.3 and above may also apply for progression to related Higher Nitec courses offered by ITE.

Career Prospects

Nitec in Machine Technology graduates are employed as manufacturing specialist by high value manufacturing industries in particular the Machinery and Systems, Semiconductor, Medical Technology and Precision Modules and Components sectors

There are excellent opportunities for career advancement to supervisory positions and beyond. The challenge is for students to upgrade their technical skills and knowledge by taking higher-level courses.
