course, you must have:

Grades (Grades 1 - 8) in any 2 subjects

Applicants must undergo pre-course interview and clear a pre-entry medical check-up.
Note: In accordance with Ministry of Health guidelines, a person who is Hepatitis-B positive (Hepatitis Bs Antigen-Reactive) shall not be admitted into a nursing course.

CORE MODULES
- Nursing Studies (5 credits)
On completion of the module, students should be able to explain the healthcare system, evolution of nursing and current health issues in Singapore and apply nursing skills to meet the basic needs of patients.
- Clinical Nursing (5 credits)
On completion of the module, students should be able to apply the appropriate nursing concepts and skills in the delivery of holistic care to patients.
- Biological Science I (4 credits)
On completion of the module, students should be able to explain the functions of the skin, respiratory, digestive, musculoskeletal and circulatory systems, the importance of appropriate food intake, the effects of pathological micro-organisms on the human body and the use of pharmacological products and their nursing implications.
- Behavioural Science l (3 credits)
On completion of the module, students should be able to explain the psychological implications and adjustments during each stage of human development and apply them to patient care.
- Clinical Practice l (13 credits)
On completion of the module, students should be able to apply theoretical nursing concepts and skills in the delivery of holistic care to patients during their placements in medical, surgical/orthopaedic and public health services disciplines.
- Patient Care A (4 credits)
On completion of the module, students should be able to apply knowledge and nursing skills to provide holistic nursing care to patients with altered functions of the circulatory, respiratory, digestive, integumentary, endocrine and nervous systems.
- Patient Care B (4 credits)
On completion of the module, students should be able to apply knowlege and nursing skills to provide nursing care to specific groups of patients and those with altered functions of the musculoskeletal, reproductive and urinary systems and special senses.
- Biological Science II (3 credits)
On completion of the module, students should be able to explain the functions of the nervous, urinary, endocrine, the male and femal reproductive systems and the special senses; the effects of pathological micro-organisms on the human body; the use of pharmacological products and their nursing implications.
- Behavioural Science ll (3 credits)
On completion of the module, students should be able to explain the socio-cultural environment and adjustments under different circumstances and the abnormal behavioural patterns of patients.
- Clinical Practice ll (13 credits)
On completion of the module, students should be able to apply theoretical nursing concepts and skills in the delivery of holistic care to patients, during their placements in medical, surgical/orthopaedic, psychiatric, maternity, paediatric, and gerontological disciplines.
