Entry Requirements

To apply for the Technical Engineer Diploma in Machine Technology course, you need to be a Singapore Citizen with the following ITE qualifications:

GPA 2.0 and above
Higher Nitec in Mechatronics Engineering
Nitec in Aerospace Machining Technology
GPA 3.0 and above

Nitec in Medical Manufacturing Technology

Duration and Venue

The duration of this course is 2 years of full-time institutional training and 1.5 years of working experience.

The 2 years of institutional training are conducted at ITE College Central (Balestier Campus)

Those with 1.5 years of relevant work experience need only to complete the 2 years institutional training.

Progression Opportunities

Graduates of the TED in Machine Technology course will be eligible to apply for admission to the related NUS Bachelor of Technology Programmes as well as Universities of Applied Sciences in Germany. They may be admitted provided they meet the entry requirements specified for the course and University.

Career Prospects

Technical Engineer Diploma in Machine Technology graduates can look forward to an attractive starting pay of between $1,600 to $2,200 in the high-growth machinery and systems industry. Some of the job titles held by graduates include Assistant Engineer and Supervisor.

There are excellent opportunities for career development and advancements to supervisory positions and beyond. The challenge is to upgrade your creative skills and knowledge by taking up higher-level courses.
