Dear Teachers,

Delectable Dishes from Amber@West, the restaurant run by the staff and students of ITE College West (Clementi Campus) Mixing It Up! Nitec in Food & Beverage student mixes up a mocktail

Oh no, there I've gone and whet your appetite! Well, that was the whole idea.

Alright, I shall torture you no more. The first photograph is of a dish prepared by our Nitec in Culinary Skills (Western) students for guests at Amber@West **, a training restaurant for our budding chefs. The fine-dining restaurant, located at ITE College West (Clementi Campus), is open to the public for lunch during term time.

In the second photograph, a Nitec in Food & Beverage Operations student shows off his skills while preparing the restaurant's signature mocktail. This refreshing concoction, aptly named Amber Kisses, was invented by our creative students and is absolutely delicious!

Now that I have your full attention...

In this edition of CHEER!, we start off with a very important article informing you about the entry requirements for the courses at ITE. Familiarise yourself with the exciting new Nitec and Higher Nitec courses that were launched in January 2009. This will give you ample time to help your students prepare for the exams at the end of this year.

Find out how ITE did at the ASEAN Skills Competition. Join us in celebrating our students' achievements! Do you know that Dr Ng Eng Hen, Minister for Education and Second Minister for Defence, visited ITE in November 2008? Also, check out these little mice... aren't they adorable!

Last but not least, do drop us a feedback. We'd love to hear your thoughts!

** Amber@West is located inside ITE College West (Clementi Campus). Dining is by telephone reservation only and the restaurant is closed during the ITE vacations.
