CEO'S MESSAGE

The Institute of Technical Education was formed in 1992, as a post-secondary institution to provide market-relevant career and technical education for secondary-school leavers and adult learners. Since then, ITE has trained more than 350,000 of Singapore’s workforce, who have contributed significantly to the nation’s economy and growth.

At ITE, every student counts. We aim to provide students with an enhanced education experience that ignite their enthusiasm. We are committed to developing each student with the right skills, knowledge and values to be work-ready and world-ready. We achieve this through our unique Hands-on, Minds-on, Hearts-on Education. Our three Colleges – ITE College Central, ITE College East and ITE College West – provide students with authentic and vibrant learning environments, with varied opportunities for industry attachments, global education and exchange, and recreational and social programmes.

From Aerospace Technology to Hair Fashion, Biotechnology to Digital Animation and Info Communications to Culinary Arts, students can choose from over a hundred industry-relevant courses to suit their interests and aptitude. Together with the wide range of courses, our caring lecturers are committed to creating rich opportunities for holistic student development and self discovery of talents.

Following the launch of the first two comprehensive Colleges – ITE College East in 2005 and ITE College West in 2010 – ITE opens the third and final comprehensive College, ITE College Central@ Ang Mo Kio, in January 2013. The new College caters to more than 10,000 students with interesting facilities, such as a dedicated aircraft hanger housing real aircraft, an Early Childhood Education Training Centre and performing arts facilities, such as a Sound Stage, an Electronic Theatre and a Centre for Music & The Arts. ITE College Central will push ITE to a higher global benchmark in technical education.
