Lee Kuan Yew Scholarship To Encourage Upgrading (LKY-STEP)
The objective of the LKY-STEP is to motivate ITE students to excel in their training and to encourage life-long learning. The scholarship is awarded to outstanding ITE graduates pursuing full-time diploma courses at the local polytechnics and ITE. It comprises a one-off cash quantum of $3,500 plus waiver of tuition fees for the duration of the polytechnic or ITE diploma course.
Tay Eng Soon Scholarship (TESS)
The objective of the Tay Eng Soon Scholarship is to motivate ITE students to excel in their training and pursue polytechnic education. The scholarship is awarded to outstanding ITE graduates pursuing full-time diploma courses at the local polytechnics and ITE. It comprises a one-off cash award of $3,000.
MOE Bursary
The MOE Bursary is introduced to p rovide more assistance to students from the lower to middle income groups, as part of the Government's commitment to ensure that no able students are deterred by the cost of post-secondary education due to their financial circumstances.
- To be eligible, a full-time student should meet the following criteria:
- Is a subsidised Singapore Citizen student pursuing a full-time Nitec, Higher Nitec or Diploma course;
- Has gross monthly household per capita income (PCI) ≤ $1,700; and
- Is not in receipt of other bursary or scholarship.
Students may apply for the bursary at any time during an academic year. The bursary quantum is given in the table below:

Students may apply for the MOE Bursary by completing a Family Income Declaration on-line through the Student Portal and submit the necessary supporting documents with the Acknowledgement Form to the Customer & Visitor Centre or Student Services Department of the College.

You may also wish to pay the subsidised tuition fee in full or partially through the application of financial schemes e.g. the use of your own or your parent’s CPF funds or the Mendaki Tertiary Tuition Fee Subsidy.
Note: The Financial Schemes cover only the subsidised Tuition Fee, i.e. students will have to pay Other Fees using their own funds. For students who apply for more than one Financial Scheme, the sum of these schemes must not exceed the Tuition Fee amount.

CPF Education Scheme
The CPF Education Scheme is a loan scheme. The total amount withdrawn for tuition fees plus accrued interest has to be repaid in full with cash. Repayment will start one year after date of graduation or date of leaving the institution, whichever is earlier. Interest starts accruing from the day of withdrawal, and is pegged to the prevailing CPF Ordinary Account interest rate which is currently 2.5% pa.
As a student taking a full-time government subsidized course leading to a diploma at an approved local tertiary institution, you may apply for a loan from your own or your parent’s CPF savings to pay your tuition fees.
New students who wish to apply for this scheme must submit the electronic application through CPF Board’s website at http://www.cpf.gov.sg.
The student and the CPF member must each have a SingPass account in order to apply. If you or the CPF member does not have a SingPass, you can apply for it at http://www.singpass.gov.sg.
CPF Board requires the student to have an email account. CPF Board also requires the CPF member to have an email account as an email will be sent to the member to login with his SingPass to give consent to the use of CPF savings for the student’s application. The CPF member must login using the member’s own SingPass within 14 days from the date of the application, to agree to the use of his CPF savings. Otherwise, the application will be rejected.
Students are required to print a copy of the successful e-application from CPF Board and submit it when you report to your posted campus for registration.

Mendaki Tertiary Tuition Fee Subsidy
The Mendaki Tertiary Tuition Fee Subsidy is a financial scheme aimed at helping needy Malay students studying in an ITE Technical Diploma course.
A student is eligible for TTFS if he/she satisfies all of the following conditions:
a) The student is a Singapore Citizen (SC) or a bona fide resident of Singapore and one of his/her parents (including adoptive parent and step-parent), living
or deceased, is a Singapore citizen;
b) The student’s race stated in his/her NRIC is Malay or Indonesian Extract1;

Murut, Makasarese, Melanau, Sumatran, Sundanese, and Other Indonesian.
c) The student’s monthly per capita household income (PCI) does not exceed $1,500, where the student will enjoy:
(i) 100% subsidy if his/her PCI is $1,000 and below;
(ii) 75% subsidy if his/her PCI is between $1,000 and $1,200;
(iii) 50% subsidy if his/her PCI is between $1,200 and $1,500.
d) The student is receiving the MOE tuition fee grant;
e) The student is pursuing a first diploma on a full-time basis at ITE
If you qualify under this scheme and wish to apply, please
i) complete the application form enclosed in the enrolment package sent to newly enrolled students.
ii) submit the completed form together with copies of relevant documents to your posted campus when you report for registration.
(On-going students who are eligible and wish to apply for TTFS , they can obtain the application form from their respective ITE Colleges.)
Mendaki will process your application and if successful, Mendaki will pay your tuition fee directly to ITE.
A student need apply only once throughout his/her whole course of study. Once approved, the subsidy is automatic for the subsequent years of study.

Community Development Council & Citizen's Consultative Committee-Institute of Technical Education (CDC & CCC-ITE) Bursary
The CDC & CCC-ITE Bursary is open to Singaporean applicants seeking admission to ITE full-time courses.
The CDC & CCC-ITE Bursary is open to Singaporean applicants seeking admission to ITE full-time courses. The bursary quantum will depend on the gross monthly household per capita income of applicants. Details are given in the table below:

Each award is for one year. A full-time student undergoing training in a 2-year course will need to re-apply for the bursary at the start of the second year.
Applicants for the bursary must not be in receipt of the CDC & CCC-ITE Scholarship or any other ITE or government-funded scholarship/bursary award. Company-sponsored students and trainees are not eligible for the CDC & CCC-ITE Bursary.
Applicants are required to submit a Family Income Declaration through the web and submit the supporting income documents (e.g. latest payslips, letters from employers) to the Campus Administration Office for verification. Applicants can follow the steps below to submit their Family Income Declaration through the web:
Logon to Student Portal with ID and password.
Click on “iStudent” >> iStudent Administration System.
Click on “Campus Finances” >> CDC Bursary Application
Those who qualify for the Bursary will be issued the CDC & CCC-ITE Bursary application form for them to submit to the CCs nearest their homes. Successful applicants will be informed by the respective CCCs.
The respective Colleges will inform the applicants of the outcome of the applications as soon as they made the necessary verifications. Successful applicants will be informed by their respective CCCs to collect their cheques when they are ready for collection.
ITE Special Student Assistance Scheme
The ITE Special Student Assistance Scheme (SSAS) is aimed at providing financial assistance to full-time students who require financial support after the application period for the CDC & CCC-ITE Bursary. In a way, the SSAS is an exigency scheme to provide support to needy students, so that they can continue with their technical training.
Financial assistance under the SSAS could comprise waiver of fees and/or cash award. Before granting fee waiver, an applicant should utilise the funds available under the Post-Secondary Education Account (PSEA) scheme.
To be eligible, a full-time student should meet the following criteria:
- Is a Singapore Citizen;
- Has gross monthly household per capita income (PCI) ≤ $500;
- Is not in receipt of the CDC & CCC-ITE Scholarship or MOE Bursary (students in receipt of the CDC & CCC-ITE Bursary may be awarded the SSAS, if they are assessed by the College to be in need of further financial aid);
- Is not a sponsored student or a trainee; and
- Has at least 3 months’ study to undergo till the end of the academic year.
Students may apply for the SSAS by completing a Family Income Declaration on-line through the Student Portal and submit the necessary supporting documents with the Acknowledgement Form to the Customer & Visitor Centre or Student Services Department of the College.
ITE Monthly Financial Assistance Scheme
The ITE Monthly Financial Assistance Scheme (MFAS) is aimed at providing monthly pocket allowance to needy students who face special hardship circumstances and need regular financial assistance to help them with daily expenses (such as meals, transport and stationery) so as to be able to continue with and complete their studies.
To be eligible, a full-time student should meet the following criteria:
- Is a Singapore Citizen;
- Has gross monthly household per capita income (PCI) ≤ $500;
- Is not receiving monthly training allowance as a sponsored student;
- Has good conduct, regular attendance and positive attitude towards study; and
- Has at least 3 months’ study to undergo till the end of the academic year.
The quantum of award is $150 per month.
Students may apply for the MFAS at any time during an academic year by completing a prescribed hard copy application form of the College. The completed form must be submitted with the necessary supporting documents to the Customer & Visitor Centre or Student Services Department of the College.
