TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT
ITE is a People Developer organization. It places great emphasis on life-long learning and actively encourages continuous upgrading of staff. Every ITE staff takes personal responsibility for his/her own development and has to devote a minimum of 100 hours per year in learning. To help staff, ITE has a host of training awards and assistance schemes to help staff in their professional and personal development. Some of these are as follows:
Pedagogic Training
- In-house Pedagogical Certificate in Technical Education (PCTE) course for all teachers teaching Technical or Business Studies

Grant of full sponsorship for formal training programmes

- Education Assistance Scheme

Grant of half-pay leave for full-time training programmes and local tuition/approved fees for part-time training programmes

Grant of full-pay leave for academic staff with special expertise to be attached to other institutions for research work, attendance at conferences/workshops etc

Academic staff are required to be attached to the industry for at least 3 months in every 5 years, to be updated on technology and work experience

CAREER DEVELOPMENT
We take an active interest in your development and progression within the organization when you join us. ITE has a comprehensive Career Development Scheme, which allows staff to discuss their career potential, career plans and training needs with their supervisors. There are opportunities for you to be appointed to management/supervisory positions, if you have the potential, or to gain further experience and training through job rotation or lateral deployment.

Medical Benefits

- Long Service Awards for staff who have served more than 10 years of service. Cash award amounts range from $200 to $1000.
