Traineeship Scheme
 

Traineeship is a formal training arrangement involving three parties: the trainee, the employer and ITE. Over 30 courses from 15 trade clusters are offered under ITE’s traineeship system.

The role of the trainee is to pursue and complete the course within the given duration to the satisfaction of the sponsoring company.

The sponsoring company agrees to train and instruct the trainee and assign a qualified trainer who would supervise and monitor the trainee's progress throughout the course.

Training

The training received by a trainee comprises off-the-job training and on-the-job training. Under the off-the-job training component, trainees are taught the technical knowledge and techniques while under the on-the-job training component, trainees apply the knowledge and skills learnt in the off-the-job component.

Intake & Application Process
 

There are two intakes a year: January and April.

Applicants can either apply direct to the company when they advertise or apply through ITE Headquarters Customer & Visitor Centre at 2 Ang Mo Kio Drive. Application is in December for the January intake and, January for the April intake.
 

Application Period for Apr 2013 Traineeship Intake
 

The Apr 2013 Traineeship intake exercise will be held in ITE HQ Customer & Visitor Centre, 2 Ang Mo Kio Drive from Fri 11 Jan 13 to Mon 14 Jan 13 from 9am to 5pm on weekdays and from 8am to 1pm on Saturday.
