Progression Opportunities

 

Nitec in Fitness Training graduates with a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.5 and above may apply for progression to the first year of a related diploma course at the Polytechnics. For more details on diploma courses for progression, please refer to the Joint Polytechnic Admissions website.

 

Nitec in Fitness Training graduates with a GPA of 2.8 and above may also apply for progression to related Higher Nitec courses offered by ITE.

Career Prospects

 

Nitec in Fitness Training graduates are employed in health and fitness settings, in commercial, community and corporate organisations. Some of the job titles held by graduates may include Fitness Instructors, Personal Trainers, Floor Trainers, Aerobic Instructors and Assistant Coaches or Group Exercise Leaders.

 

There are excellent opportunities for career advancement to supervisory positions and beyond. This challenge is for students to upgrade their technical skills and knowledge by taking up higher-level courses.
