This course provides students with the skills and knowledge in providing the administrative and operational support in the development and implementation of community sport and recreation programmes.

Entry Requirements


To apply for the Higher Nitec in Community Sport & Recreation Management course, you need to have:

 

Subject
Grade
GCE 'O' level grades in English Language, Mathematics/Principles of Accounts and 1 other subject
  • Grade 1 - 6 in English Language
  • Grade 1 - 8 in Mathematics (Elementary or Additional) or Principles of Accounts
  • Grade 1 - 7 in one other subject.
    (To be eligible for selection, you must have sat for Mathematics).

Higher Nitec in Community Sport & Recreation Management graduates are employed by organisations which run sports and recreation business activities for the promotion of health and wellness of the community. Some of the job titles held by graduates include Recreation Administration Assistant and Assistant Programme/Sports/Recreation Co-Ordinator.

 

There are excellent opportunities for career advancement to supervisory positions and beyond. The challenge is for students to upgrade their technical skills and knowledge by taking up higher-level courses.
