To apply for the Higher Nitec in Business Studies (Administration) course, you need to have:

*GCE N(A) school leavers, who applied during the January intake under the Direct Entry Scheme,will undergo 10 weeks of preparatory programme followed by 2 years of Higher Nitec training.

Progression Opportunities
Higher Nitec in Business Studies (Administration) with a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.0 and above may apply for progression to the first year of a related diploma course at the Polytechnics. For more details on diploma courses for progression, please refer to the Joint Polytechnic Admissions website.
Career Prospects
Higher Nitec in Business Studies (Administration) graduates are employed by companies in all sectors of the economy, including government departments, statutory boards and private sector companies. Some of the job titles held by graduates include Administration Assistant, Personal Assistant and Personal Secretary.
There are excellent opportunities for career advancement to supervisory positions and beyond. The challenge is for students to upgrade their technical skills and knowledge by taking up higher-level courses.

Administrative Assistants/ Personal Assistants are employed by companies in all sectors of the economy, including government departments, statutory boards and private sector companies.

This course is less suitable for students who do not possess the functional abilities indicated. If in doubt, please consult your school career guidance officer or visit ITE College for further academic advising.

They are required to handle routine administrative tasks in the office, produce business documents using common software, arrange for meetings and interviews, plan travel arrangements as well as plan office events.
