Competition Format
The project will be structured in modules. Competitors will be required to:
Design and complete an electronic project :
- Design an electronics circuit to a given specification
- Prototype the electronics project on a breadboard
- Ability to use commercial software to translate design to printed circuit board
- Test and measure the electronics project for functionality
Design and complete a software project using C18 programming language
- A Microchip microcontroller is used
- The microcontroller is integrated with other electronic devices for a specified functionality
Assemble a kitset assembly on a pre-made PCB
Test and measure electronic signals in an electronics circuit
Test, locate and replace faulty electronic components in a given circuit
Take a theoretical test on electrical and electronics principles and circuit
