Registration

All sponsoring institutions/companies must register their competitors by 16 Dec 2011. They will be notified, in writing, of the outcome of their registration within two weeks after registration.

Each competitor can take part in only one skills area.

The definitive cut-off date for replacement of competitors will be one month from the date of the Qualifying Round.

The Organisers reserve the right to reject any competitor who does not meet the eligibility criteria.

| 5 |
The Organisers reserve the right to cancel the competition in skills areas with too few competitors.
|
| 6 |
Competitors must compete in a Qualifying Round in order to qualify for the Finals.
|
Pre-Competition

The Organisers will take all necessary precautions to ensure that competition areas, equipment and machines are safe for use by the competitors. Notwithstanding this, the Organisers shall not be held responsible for any mishap that may befall competitors during both the Qualifying Rounds and Finals.

Competitors and/or their sponsors are advised to take up their own insurance policies against any accident or injury to themselves in connection with the competition.

The Organisers will provide all necessary equipment, machines, tools and materials for the competition, except for Cooking, Information Network Cabling, Mechatronics, Mobile Robotics and Restaurant Service skills areas.

Competitors who wish to use their own tools will be allowed to do so. They must submit a list of the tools they intend to bring to the competition site to the respective Technical Working Group for approval before the Qualifying Rounds and Finals.

The Organisers will arrange for ‘Familiarisation Sessions’ for competitors to familiarise themselves with the equipment, machines, and tools for the Qualifying Round and Finals. It is the responsibility of the competitors to attend the Familiarisation Session and to clarify any doubts that they may have.

During Competition

Competitors must bring their NRIC for verification of their identities at both Qualifying Rounds and Finals. |

Competitors are required to comply with all instructions given by the judges during the competition. Failure to do so may result in disqualification.

Competitors must comply strictly with all safety procedures and precautions pertaining to the competition areas. The judges reserve the right to stop any competitor from continuing with the competition if the competitor violates the safety procedures and precautions.

Competitors who are guilty of any dishonest act or misconduct may be disqualified and expelled from the competition.
|

All grievances must be reported by either the competitor or his/her Team Manager on the actual day of competition.
|
Post-Competition
| 17 |
The Organisers will retain and hold exclusive rights over all materials created during the competition.
|
| 18 |
The judges reserve the right not to award the Gold, Silver and/or Bronze medal(s) and the cash prizes that go with the medals should the skills standards of the competitors fall below the desired level.

| 19 |
Winners who are selected to represent Singapore at the WorldSkills Competition must agree to receive further training provided by the Organisers, and to participate in the WorldSkills Competition.

All decisions made by the judges are final. No correspondence will be entertained.
