Innovation & Learning
Circles can be initiated by:
-
Individual teachers
with a concern in mind who would like to share this concern with peers;
-
Teachers who are
regularly meeting in small groups to discuss professional issues; or
-
The department, institute
or network management.
The
formation of Innovation & Learning Circles will largely be voluntary,
borne out of the willingness to take stock of ones’ current practice and the need to get fresh ideas through contact with teachers who might have similar interests and desire to work towards best practices.
When more teachers
are able to see the benefits of the experiences of teachers in learning
groups, learning circles should become self-initiated at the networks with
ABLE providing the necessary support.
