Formation of the Society
The ITE Co-operative Society Ltd was registered with the Registrar of Co-operative Societies, Singapore, on 26 May 94. Its business address is 10 Dover Drive, Singapore 138683.
To date, there are 11 Co-op shops located at the following campuses in the 3 ITE Colleges.

Objectives of the Society
The objectives of the Societies are:
| To encourage thrift, co-operation, self-help and mutual assistance amongst members; | |
| To enhance the development of leadership qualities and the sense of responsibility amongst members; | |
| To promote and undertake activities and schemes for the benefit of members; and | |
| To provide services to members. |

Membership
Ordinary membership is opened to full-time students and staff of ITE( Institute of Technical Education). The Ordinary membership fee is a one-time payment of $3.
Associate membership is opened to part-time students and staff of ITE and any other persons associated with ITE. The Associate membership fee is $10 for 3 years.

The membership of ITE Co-op Society Ltd is open to all students and staff. The application fee is S$3 per person (non-refundable). There is no exemption of membership fee for progressed students.
When you sign up as a member of ITE Co-op, you will enjoy:
| Immediate 5 -10% discount on most items except for fixed price items* when you make purchases at the Co-op shops; | |
| Quality products and services; and | |
| Shopping Convenience. |
You will be eligible to join the ITE Co-op Club to acquire retailing skills and participate in Workshops and Seminars.
Full-time students who are members of the ITE Co-op Society Ltd are eligible to apply for financial help under the Financial Assistance Scheme.

It is a scheme aimed at providing financial help to needy ITE students who are members of ITE Co-operative Society Ltd.

Goods and Services
One main role of the Society is to provide convenient services to ITE students in meeting their requirements for training and personal use. Towards this end, the Society operates 11 Co-op shops at all the ITE Colleges. These shops carry a wide range of stationery items, uniform, greeting cards and souvenirs. The shops also organise sales promotions of merchandise periodically.

Co-operative Clubs

In line with the objective of the Society to develop leadership qualities and sense of responsibility of ITE students, the Society works closely with the Campuses to form Co-operative Clubs to operate the retail outlets of the Society in the Campuses concerned.

| ITE students who are Ordinary members of the Society may join these Clubs to acquire retailing skills through on-the-job training in the following areas: |

In
addition, Workshops and Seminars are organised to provide students the
opportunity to share experience and explore new ideas on entrepreneurship.
