The course provides participants with knowledge and skillsets to read and interpret sketches, drawings, manuals and specifications to determine the dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces, sequences of operations and set-up requirements. Participants
of the course will also learn how to diagnose and trouble-shoot equipment used in the manufacturing sector.
Course Outline
1. Engineering Drawings and Inspection Techniques
Provides learners with knowledge and skillsets for interpretation of technical drawings and perform dimensional inspections for the machined components in accordance with ISO standards.
2. Equipment Diagnostics
Learn to troubleshoot hardware and software faults of machine/equipment at system level.
3. CoC in Machining Analytics
Learn how to use digital sensors and software to monitor the quality
of machining.
4. Project
Participants will carry out design and development activities including applications of design concepts, verifying product design, perform machining, assess quality of the parts and propose product
design change process, as well as enhancement of product design.
