Instead of admiring the unique hairstyles of your favourite celebrities, learn to create one. 

In this course, you will learn haircutting and chemical techniques to texturise and colour hair to create looks in line with the latest fashion trends.  You will also learn to create hairstyles that are glamourous for functions and events, and have the opportunity to showcase your works in hair shows. 

Apply your knowledge and gain real-life (on-the-job) training at hair salons in the hairdressing industry.

Entry Requirements

Completed GCE 'N' or GCE 'O' Level

Progression Opportunities

Nitec in Hair Fashion & Design graduates with a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.0 and above may apply for progression to related ITE Work-Study Diploma (previously known as Work-Learn Technical Diploma).

Nitec in Hair Fashion & Design graduates with a GPA of 2.8 and above may also apply for progression to related Higher Nitec courses offered by ITE.

Career Opportunities

Nitec in Hair Fashion & Design graduates are employed by hair salons in the hairdressing industry. Some of the job titles held by graduates include Junior Hairdresser, Junior Stylist, Hair Stylist and Hair Colourist.
