About the Fund

At the National Day Rally 2010, our Prime Minister, Mr Lee Hsien Loong, announced matching grants of 1.5:1 for endowed donations and 1:1 for non-endowed donations to help ITE build up its Endowment Fund to provide sustainable disbursement of financial assistance to needy ITE students.

Many students who join ITE come from financially-disadvantaged families. We disburse assistance to these students from the ITE Endowment Fund so that they can focus on their learning. Without this assistance, many of our students may have to make the difficult decision to leave ITE to start working and help with family expenses. By doing so, they will also give up the chance to receive a qualification which would give them skills to earn a good livelihood and contribute meaningfully to the economy.

We want our students to have every opportunity to fulfil their potential.

However, with a significant number of our students requiring financial assistance, we expect to disburse about $1 million annually. To help these youths learn and shine, we need to build up our Endowment Fund.

Donor Recognition

Donations of S$100 and above will be recognised in the Roll-of-Honours on ITE's Endowment Fund webpage. Donations of S$5,000 and above will be recognised in the Roll-of-Honours on both ITE's Endowment Fund webpage and Donors' Wall located at the new ITE Headquarters.

Management of Donated Funds

All donations to ITE will be credited into the ITE Education Fund, which has been granted Institute of Public Character (IPC) status. The ITE Education Fund is governed by a Management Committee appointed by ITE.

Donations received by ITE will be used entirely for the benefit of our students. Receipts for tax deduction will be issued for outright cash donations.
