ITE seeks to provide its students with a holistic and quality global education experience through its Global Education Programmes (GEP). The GEP offers students an exciting opportunity to enhance their global perspectives and cross-cultural understanding, as well as acquire varied competencies and skillsets much needed in today’s international and multicultural environments. In FY2017, some 4,000 ITE students participated in GEP programmes across 25 countries.

The GEP framework has three components: Overseas Student Exchange Programme (OSEP), Overseas Industrial Attachment Programme (OIAP), and Overseas Service & Development Programme (OSDP).

Students undertake work and training related to their course of study, to gain work experience in a foreign country and to prepare themselves for the global economy and future career. |
Students attend classes in overseas institutions and earn credit units towards their certifications. Through the exchange, students will experience different learning environments and gain new perspectives in learning. |
Students undertake community service projects in developing countries to lend a helping hand, and understand the challenges faced, which goes toward developing a caring and compassionate attitude in students.
Developmental programmes include overseas competitions, conferences/seminars and leadership programmes, to develop students’ generic skills and competencies and character.
