Join this course and gain knowledge on basic healthcare, clinic dispensing and out-patient care. Register patients, keep medical records, keep drug inventory, dispense drugs and perform simple health screening to assist the doctor.

Apply your knowledge and gain real-life (on-the-job) training at private general outpatient clinics.

Acquire knowledge and skills which are highly relevant to the industry

  • Perform reception work.
  • Maintain clinic records.
  • Perform infection control measures.
  • Perform health screening and clinic test.
  • Assist in clinical procedures.
  • Dispense medicine to client.
  • Assist in emergency situations.




Entry Requirements

To apply for the ISC in Health Care (Outpatient) course, you need to have:

Subject Grade
Completed GCE ‘N’ level -

Note: Applicants recommended by their employers will be admitted on a case-by-case basis. 


Duration and Venue

This is a one-year course and training is available at ITE Approved Training Centres.


Progression Opportunities

ISC in Health Care (Outpatient) graduates with a good Grade Point Average (GPA) and GCE ‘N’ level may apply for progression to Nitec in Nursing course offered by ITE.


Career Prospects

Graduates from ISC in Health Care (Outpatient) can look forward to employment opportunities in the industry as Clinic Assistants.
