Nitec in Business Services
Ever wonder what is in a typical business day? Discover how to deliver the "Wow‟ service through efficient info processes and good records management.
You can play an important role in an organisation by taking up this course. You will learn to organise business events, make travel arrangements, arrange meetings, and process office documents.
Acquire knowledge and skills which are highly relevant to the industry as follows:
- Handle oral and written communication in a business/workplace environment
- Provide quality customer service
- Produce office documents using common software packages
- Handle office procedures
To apply for the Nitec in Business Services course, you need to have:
|GCE ‘O’ level grades in any 2 subjects
||1 - 8
|GCE ‘N’ level passes in English Language and 2 other subjects
||A - D or 1 - 5
This is a two-year course and is available at :
- ITE College Central, ITE College East or ITE College West for 1 day per week; and
- Sponsoring companies for On-the-Job Training (ITE will help you find a sponsoring company.)
Nitec in Business Services graduates with a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.5 and above may apply for progression to the first year of a related diploma course at the Polytechnics. For more details on diploma courses for progression, please refer to the Joint Polytechnic Admissions website.
Nitec in Business Services graduates with a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.0 and above may apply for progression to related ITE Work-Study Diploma (previously known as Work-Learn Technical Diploma). For more details, please click here.
Nitec in Business Services graduates with a GPA of 2.8 and above may also apply for progression to related Higher Nitec courses offered by ITE. For more information on progression, please click here.
Nitec in Business Services graduates are employed by companies in all sectors of the economy, including government agencies, statutory boards and private companies. Job titles held by graduates include Administrative Support Assistant, Customer Service Representative, Executive Assistant and Telesales Officer.
