As an Pedagogic Development Specialist, you will provide professional leadership, professional development opportunities and educational research consultation to Lecturers and Mentors in ITE, to support their professional growth. Your work focus will include identifying professional development needs of lecturers/mentors; designing, developing and delivering professional development workshops/courses for lecturers/mentors; engaging in practice-oriented educational research to develop innovative instructional models, learning strategies and teaching resources; and providing expert guidance to lecturers/mentors in the above.
You should possess at least 2-3 years of experience, preferably in the following areas:
- Initiating, designing, developing, organising and conducting professional development activities (such as training courses, sharing sessions, seminars and conferences);
- Guiding/providing consultancy to teachers/faculty staff in designing, developing, organising and conducting professional development activities; and
- Initiating and/or providing professional guidance to teachers/faculty staff in researching, customizing/developing, piloting and evaluating innovative instructional models, learning strategies and teaching resources.
You should also have strong project management, interpersonal, facilitation and communication skills.
