Congratulations to all GCE 'O' and 'N' level holders for completing your secondary school education!


Now you can embark on a successful career by enrolling in the post-secondary ITE courses. With a wide range of Applied & Health Sciences, Business & Services, Design & Media, Hospitality, Electronics & Info-Comm Technology and Engineering courses to choose from, you can be certain of finding one that's right for you.

ITE conducts full-time courses which lead to certification at the Nitec and Higher Nitec levels. The number of courses offered under each level of certification together with the general entry requirements are listed below:

The offer of an ITE course to applicants is subject to them being physically, medically and mentally fit to pursue the course.  This is to ensure that all students can benefit from ITE training in a safe and conducive environment.  Applicants or students assessed by ITE as being unfit can be withdrawn from the course.  Where appropriate, they may be considered for other courses if there are suitable ones. The Learning Accessibility Office (LAO) at each ITE College will provide support to students with Special Education Needs in their learning process at ITE. Applicants with specific disabilities are strongly encouraged to seek prior academic course advising from the respective College(s) before selecting their choice of application. FULL-TIME HIGHER NATIONAL ITE CERTIFICATE (HIGHER NITEC) COURSES

During January 2017 Joint Intake Exercise in December 2016 for Direct Entry Scheme to Polytechnic Programme (DPP) for N(A) Students

 

HOW TO APPLY:
If you are issued with Form N by the Institute of Technical Education (ITE), you can submit your application via Internet as follows :

During 2017 Joint Admissions Exercise in April 2017

 

HOW TO APPLY:
If you are a school candidate who had sat for the 2016 Singapore-Cambridge GCE ‘O’ Level Examinations or a Singaporean/Singapore Permanent Resident with valid Singapore-Cambridge GCE ‘O’ Level Examination results, please submit your application via Internet at www.moe.gov.sg/education/admissions/jae. You can log in to apply for courses using your JAE PIN (Form A holders only)/SingPass. If you are a Singaporean/Singapore Permanent Resident with valid Singapore-Cambridge GCE 'O' Level Examination results who wish to participate in JAE but do not have a JAE PIN/SingPass, you could submit your application at the MOE Customer Service Centre at 1 North Buona Vista Drive. You have to bring with you your Identity Card, original GCE ‘O’ Level Certificate(s)/Result Slip(s) and Secondary School Report Book/CCA Certificate(s). 
 

If you are an international applicant who had sat for the Singapore-Cambridge GCE 'O' Level Examination as a candidate in a Government School, Government-Aided School or Independent School in Singapore before 2016, please apply at the ITE Customer & Visitor Centre at 2 Ang Mo Kio Drive. You have to bring with you your Student Pass/Dependent Pass, Passport, original GCE 'O' Level Certificate(s)/Result Slip(s) and Secondary School Report Book/CCA Certificate(s).

 

 

FULL-TIME NATIONAL ITE CERTIFICATE (NITEC) COURSES

If you are issued with Form N by the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) or if you are a Singaporean or Permanent Resident without Form N but possess the pre-requisite GCE 'N' or GCE 'O' level qualifications, you can submit your application via Internet as follows:

Application for Nitec Courses under JIE 'N' and JIE 'E' will open in Dec 2016.

During January 2017 Joint Intake Exercise 'O' in January 2017 for GCE ‘O’ Level Holders

 

HOW TO APPLY:

If you are issued with Form J by the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) or if you are a Singaporean or Permanent Resident without Form J but possess the pre-requisite GCE 'O' level qualifications, you can submit your application via Internet. Application for Full-Time 2-Year Nitec Courses under JIE 'O' for GCE 'O' Level Holders will commence after the release of the GCE 'O' Level examination results in January 2017. Successful applicants will start their Nitec courses in January.

COMBINED RESULTS

SC/PR applicants who wish to combine GCE 'O'/'N' examination results of 2 sittings should bring both result slips and apply over the counter at the College offering your first choice course.

SPECIAL ADMISSIONS EXERCISE FOR HIGHER NITEC COURSES FOR APRIL 2017 INTAKE
 

Students with special course-related talents and aptitude may participate in the Special Admissions Exercise for selected Higher Nitec courses. Below is a summary list of 2-Year Higher Nitec courses offered under Apr 17 SAE intake.

ITE SPECIAL COLLEGE ADMISSIONS SCHEME 

 

The ITE Special College Admissions Scheme (SCAS) provides flexibility for ITE Colleges (ITE College Central, ITE College East and ITE College West) to consider students with special talents and achievements (in areas of Course-related, Sports,Performing & Visual Arts, Leadership/Entrepreneurship), for direct admission into ITE full-time Higher Nitec and Nitec courses.  This will provide applicants under SCAS, the advantage of admission into an ITE College and course of their choice. The scheme is now closed for application for admission to courses for year 2017 intake.

Current ITE students are not eligible for this scheme. Students can apply up to a maximum of 3 choices of courses online.  Each ITE College will notify short-listed applicants on the interview dates.

APPLICATION FOR RETURNING SINGAPOREANS
Returning Singaporeans with foreign qualifications who wish to apply for ITE full-time courses will need to complete the “Application for ITE Full-Time Courses (For Singapore Citizen/Permanent Resident with Foreign or WPLN Qualification)” form and submit it together with a photocopy of the following documents (to be translated into English if in other language):

 

1) Identity card/passport
2) Educational certificates with detailed results/transcripts.
 

Application for January 2016 Intake for Nitec courses and April 2016 Intake for Higher Nitec courses is now closed.

ON-GOING ITE STUDENTS

On-going ITE students who wish to seek course transfer to another ITE course are to approach their Class Advisor or Section Head to apply for the transfer and not to submit their application in the intake exercise.

 

ITE GRADUATES

If you have graduated from a full-time Higher Nitec course at ITE and wish to return to do a second full-time Higher Nitec course, you may apply for admission one year after graduation.  For April 2016 intake, you may submit your admission application if you have graduated before 1 May 2015.

 

If you have graduated from a full-time Nitec/Higher Nitec course at ITE and wish to return to do a second full-time Nitec course, you may apply for admission one year after graduation.  For January 2016 intake, you may submit your admission application if you have graduated before 1 February 2015.  

 

NS DEFERMENT

National Service (NS) liable males who wish to pursue full-time ITE courses in 2016 and were born in the year 1996 or earlier  (for Secondary 4 Express and Sec 4 Normal Stream students) or born in the year 1995 or earlier (for Secondary 5 Normal Stream students and ITE Graduates seeking progression to Higher Nitec courses) will have to check their eligibility for NS Deferment at the Central Manpower Base (CMPB). Students who are not eligible for NS deferment will need to withdraw from the course that they are enrolled.

 

INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

ITE will not be admitting International Students with foreign qualifications or private qualifications to its full-time courses.

 

EX-ITE STUDENTS/GRADUATES

Application Considerations - Applicants who are ex-ITE students/graduates may be subject to further evaluation at the discretion of ITE to assess their suitability for the course they have applied for.

Outstanding Fee Payment - For an ex-ITE student/graduate who is admitting into an ITE course, you are to clear any outstanding fee payment from your previous ITE course, if any before enrolling in a new course.
