Higher Nitec
Higher Nitec in Facility Management graduates are employed directly by building owners or indirectly by facility management managing agents to provide integrated facilities management for our modern Build Environment. These facilities include airports, country clubs, integrated resorts, business & financial facilities, medical and health centres, leisure and entertainment hubs, hospitality and tourism attractions, as well as residential buildings.
The course duration is 1.5 years to 3 years.

- Supervise workers in carrying out maintenance work

Entry Requirements
3 GCE 'O' Level Grades:
- Grade 1-8 in English Language
- Grade 1-7 in Mathematics (Elementary or Additional)
- Grade 1-8 in one of the approved subjects*
*The approved subjects are: Biology / Biotechnology / Chemistry / Combined Science / Computer Studies / Design & Technology / Engineering Science / Fundamentals of Electronics / Human & Social Biology / Integrated Science / Physical Science / Physics / Science (Chemistry/ Biology) / Science (Physics/Biology) / Science (Physics/Chemistry) / Science (Physics/Biology/Chemistry).
OR
- Nitec in Technology qualifications, or
- Nitec qualifications (Technical Skills)

Career Opportunities
Higher Nitec in Technology - Facility Management graduates could be employed directly by large establishments who managed their own facility or indirectly via facility management companies. They will be able to take on jobs as Facility Maintenance Technical Officer, Facility Maintenance Supervisor and Facility Maintenance Executive. They can also take up the additional role of fire safety manager if they have passed the Fire Safety Management elective module accredited by SCDF.
There are excellent opportunities for career advancement to supervisory positions and beyond. The challenge is for students to upgrade their technical skills and knowledge by taking up higher-level courses.
