  1. Agreement – Terms

    1. Thank you for visiting this Website (“The Website”). The Website is owned and maintained by the Institute of Technical Education, Singapore ( “ITE”).

    2. All access of any area of The Website is governed by the Terms and Conditions below (“Terms”). If you do not accept any of these Terms, exit immediately. Continue only if you accept these Terms.

    3. In these Terms, the words “we,” “our” and “us” refer to ITE.

    4. ITE reserves the right to change these Terms from time to time. Your use of The Website constitutes your agreement to any modified Terms.

  2. Access to The Website

    1. The accessibility and operation of The Website relies on technologies outside our control. We do not guarantee continued accessibility or uninterrupted operation of The Website.

  3. Relying on Information

    1. We provide The Website as a general information source only and not as a source of professional advice. The Website may not cover all information available on a particular issue. Before relying on The Website, you should do your own checks or obtain professional advice relevant to your particular circumstances.

  4. Security

    1. Where appropriate, we use available technology to protect the security of communications made through The Website. However, we do not accept liability for the security, authenticity, integrity or confidentiality of any transactions and other communications made through The Website.

    2. Internet communications may be susceptible to interference or interception by third parties. Despite our best efforts, we make no warranties that The Website is free of infection by computer viruses or other unauthorised software. This includes clearing your Internet browser cookies and cache before and after using any services on The Website.  You should keep your passwords confidential. Please note that we will never ask you for your login password.

    2. If you create a link or frame to The Website, you do so at your own risk.

  6. Intellectual Property

Apart from any fair dealings for the purposes of private study, research, criticism or review, as permitted by law, no part of The Website may be reproduced or reused for any commercial purpose whatsoever without our prior written permission. The modification of the materials on The Website is prohibited.

  7. General Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

    1. We will not be liable for any loss or damage:

      1. that you may incur on account of using, visiting or relying on any statement, opinion, representation or information in The Website;

      2. resulting from any delay in the operation or transmission, communications failure, Internet access difficulties or malfunctions in equipment or software; or

      3. the conduct or the views of any person who accesses or uses The Website.

  8. Use of e-Services

    1. If you choose to make an application or send ITE an email providing ITE with personal data, ITE may share the necessary data with other Government agencies, or with non-Government entities which have been authorised to carry out specific Government services, so as to serve you in an efficient and effective way, unless such sharing is prohibited by law.

    2. For your convenience, ITE may display to you data you had previously supplied to ITE or other Government agencies.  This will speed up transactions and save you the trouble of repeating previous submissions.  Should the data be inaccurate or out-of-date, please supply ITE with the latest data.  ITE will retain the data only as necessary for the effective delivery of public services to you.

    3. You shall ensure that all information submitted through the e-Service is complete, accurate, true and correct.  Where supporting documents are requested/needed, you should ensure all information submitted through the e-Service is consistent with the supporting documents.  Failure to do so may result in delay in processing or rejection of the application.  You may be liable for costs incurred due to false or incorrect information submitted.

    4. While every care is taken by ITE in providing the e-Service, the Government disclaims all liability whatsoever, no warranty is given that access to the e-Service will be provided uninterrupted or free from error or that any identified defect will be corrected and the Government disclaims all liability for any direct, incidental or consequential damage or loss, that may result from such interruptions or errors or defects, including but not limited to:

      1. any loss of, or any inability to retrieve, any data or information however caused as a result of any interruption, suspension or termination of service;

      2. any inaccuracy in the information presented, used or transmitted through the e-Service.

  9. Fees

    1. There are currently no fees for using any part of The Website. We are not responsible for any fees charged by any other Internet site (not provided by us).

  10. Applicable Laws

    1. Use of The Website and these Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore.  Any claim relating to use of The Website shall be heard by Singapore Courts.

  11. Variation

    1. We may revise these Terms at any time by updating this page. You should visit this page from time to time and review the then current Terms, because they are binding on you. We may modify or discontinue any information or features that form part of The Website at any time, with or without notice to you, and without liability.
