Automation & Robotics Centre (Blk 1 Level 4)

Automation & Robotics Centre is a dynamic place for students to learn about the Advanced Manufacturing Industry. The centre provides a modern learning environment with a training system where students explore key concepts like Industry 4.0, digitalisation and the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT).

Students gain experiential learning in Manufacturing Execution Systems, Radio Frequency Identification and Augmented Reality. They work with digital twins for real-time analysis, allowing them to programme and test "what-if" scenarios, even with limited physical machines or during remote learning. Students also learn to programme and operate next-generation robots and explore IIoT technologies such as Ethernet/IP and IO-Link protocols.

Built Environment Hub (Blk 6 Level 6)

Built Environment Hub is an integrated space where students can monitor key facility systems in real-time. The setup is supported by industry partners like Daikin Airconditioning and C&W Services, who offer their valuable resources and expertise. The hub features a fully operational bathroom model for learning installation and maintenance, and a mobile display generator for understanding electrical components. It is also equipped with an exploded view of a cassette air-con fan coil unit and a sprinkler testing room to enhance learning experience.

Students learn to maintain mechanical and electrical systems, along with air-conditioning and ventilation systems. They are taught to oversee the Green Building Management System and ensure good housekeeping and Workplace Safety & Health practices at the work sites.

Bus Engineering Lab (Blk 5 Level 1)

Bus Engineering Lab features an e-bus chassis, electrical axle, electronic destination system, electrical bus door training system, bus air conditioning system and a decommissioned double-decker bus. With equipment donated by ITE partners such as the ZF, SBST, EDS and BYD, students benefit from hands-on training with both combustion engine and electric bus technologies.

In the Lab, students gain practical skills to assemble and diagnose faults in bus systems, as well as fix high voltage electric circuits. They also work with basic electro-pneumatics and electro-hydraulic circuits used in buses and heavy vehicles.

Clean Energy Lab (Blk 6 Level 4)

Clean Energy Lab offers a grid-tie demonstration that shows how solar photovoltaic systems are connected to the electrical grid. Equipped with industry-standard equipment, the Lab features a buoyant platform system that supports and maintains solar panels on the water's surface. The setup is supported by the partnership with Sembcorp Industries.

Students explore the world of solar power through hands-on training by designing efficient layouts, installing components and maintaining photovoltaic arrays for optimal energy generation. They also implement cutting-edge technologies and strategies to create sustainable systems with smart automation, security and environmental controls.

Lighting & Sound Experiential Lab (Blk 6 Level 4)

Lighting & Sound Experiential Lab features impressive LED walls that showcase large digital displays with vibrant full-colour graphics. The learning environment is enhanced by collaborations with industry leaders like Sennheiser and ROBE Lighting. This allows students to experiment with different lighting and sound techniques and learn how to design stunning visual displays and powerful audio setups.

In this space, students create visual effects presentations using projection mapping with customised graphics. Students also learn to operate and maintain advanced sound mixing consoles and set up stage lighting and LED walls for events.

Plant Equipment Maintenance Lab (Blk 5 Level 2)

Plant Equipment Maintenance Lab provides authentic training using a variety of pumps, valves, hand tools, and pipe bending and fabrication tools. This setup ensures that students gain meaningful real-world experience, equipping them to confidently tackle complex challenges in their future careers.

Students learn to install, service, troubleshoot, and repair machinery, pumping systems, and pneumatic and hydraulic systems. They also gain skills in fabricating and reconditioning machine parts using basic hand tools, power tools and drilling machines, as well as rectifying electrical faults in machinery.

Rail Engineering Hub (Blk 6 Level 2)

Rail Engineering Hub features key elements such as a de-commissioned train cabin, a bogie assembly, and an overhead catenary system, generously donated by the LTA, SBST and SMRT. This invaluable support from industry partners help enrich the learning environment and give students access to real-world tools and experiences.

Students master essential skills and gain knowledge in areas like rapid transit systems and operations, automation and control systems, and electronics systems and equipment.

Urban Mobility Centre (Blk 3 Level 1)

The Urban Mobility Centre houses an Automotive Diagnostic Lab that uses smart technology, including wireless diagnostic equipment and realistic simulators. The Electrification and Diagnostic Labs specialise in training students on electric vehicles, focusing on diagnostics and safety for high-voltage systems. This is enhanced by the provision of training cars from partners such as the Hyundai Motor Group Innovation Centre, Singapore.

Students learn to troubleshoot, service, maintain and repair commercial vehicles, passenger vehicles and electric vehicles, including their propulsion systems.
