Press Release - MOU signing between ITE and Edtech Startup Noodle Factory to strengthen cooperation in using Ai-Powered Learning System to enhance teaching and learning

Noodle Factory and the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) have officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to cooperate in the field of using AI-powered learning system to enhance teaching and learning. This follows a successful nine-month pilot programme between both parties. 

Noodle Factory – a Singapore-based edtech start-up specialising in AI-enabled solutions to enhance teaching and learning – has developed a unique platform that can personalise learning catered to every student’s needs and abilities while reducing the workload for educators by enabling them to provide AI-powered adaptive tutoring, exam preparations, plus the creation and grading of practice assessments, all with the click of a button. 

In a first for ITE, the institution launched a nine-month pilot programme with Noodle Factory to employ AI into the learning curriculum. The pilot was conducted in the School of Business and Services at ITE College Central, where 24 lecturers across 26 classes and four modules successfully used AI for teaching and learning.

Enhancing Teaching and Learning with AI-Powered Learning System 

Under the three-year partnership, Noodle Factory will support ITE to implement its AIpowered learning platform to better engage ITE students through self-directed learning and personalised tutoring for relevant courses, and train ITE staff to use the AI platform for tutoring and mock assessment paper marking. Other areas of collaboration include conducting action research projects in using AI-powered learning systems for effective teaching and learning.

The partnership will benefit over 4,000 students and 300 staff from ITE. Educators can expect greater productivity as they can now scale tutoring and exam preparations while engaging students with personalised and adaptive learning experiences.

Students will be able to ‘web chat’ with ‘Walter’ – Noodle Factory’s AI-powered teaching assistant which acts as a personalised tutor, and receive immediate answers to their questions. Lecturers can also monitor students’ individual learning progress real-time with data and analytics gathered by ‘Walter’, and provide prompt feedback to address any learning needs”, said Ms Low Khah Gek, CEO of ITE.
