ITE to effect immediate changes to its academic calendar for this year to optimise students’ educational experience
The ITE education is practice-oriented by nature. ITE emphasises authentic learning by providing hands-on learning in industry-relevant environments. In view of the extension to the Circuit Breaker period, ITE will adjust its academic calendar in order to maximise the time available for hands-on learning, to optimise students’ educational experience. There will be no change to the total number of training weeks.
ITE will continue with full home-based learning until Fri 8 May 2020, before students go on a term vacation. The key changes in the academic calendar that apply to all Nitec, Higher Nitec and Technical Diploma students are as follows:
Vacation period will be brought forward from mid-June and will be from Sat 9 May 2020 to Mon 1 June 2020.
Training will resume on Tue 2 June 2020.
