Certificate of Merit (COM), Diploma with Merit (DWM), Course Medals and Outstanding Graduates Awards are awarded to deserving graduates.
Certificate of Merit (COM) / Diploma with Merit (DWM)
Certificate of Merit (COM) is generally awarded to the top 5% of the graduates from each Higher Nitec and Nitec course.
Diploma with Merit (DWM) is generally awarded to the top 8% of the graduates from each Work-Study Diploma course.
Graduates must have passed all core modules at the first attempt within normal course duration and have achieved outstanding performance in their course of study, with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or above, at the point of graduation.
Course Medals are awarded to the outstanding COM / DWM holders in each course. The number of Course Medals awarded for each course is based on the number of graduates in the course, subject to a maximum of 3 medals.
Graduates will be awarded Gold, Silver or Bronze Course Medals based on their overall performance in their course of study, CCA achievements and other contributions.
Outstanding Graduate Awards
Gold course medalists with outstanding performance and have contributed at the Colleges through active participation in campus and social activities will be eligible for the following awards:
- Lee Kuan Yew Gold Medal
- Tay Eng Soon Gold Medal
- The Ngee Ann Kongsi Gold Medal
Gold Course Medalists who have done well academically and actively involved in Co-Curricular Activities, particularly those who have made outstanding contributions to the community and demonstrated the spirit of Innovation and Enterprise, will be eligible for the Lee Hsien Loong Award for Outstanding All-round Achievement.
Gold Course Medallists from full-time ITE Engineering courses who have performed well academically and demonstrated outstanding engineering skills, knowledge and application would also be considered for the Insitute of Engineers Singapore (IES) Engineering Award.
Part-time graduates with outstanding performance and displayed exemplary qualities of lifelong learning and upgrading efforts, will be considered for the Employment and Employability (e2i) Gold Medal Award.
