The LKY-STEP was instituted in 2001 from donations
received from the late Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew through the sale proceeds
of autographed editions of Volume 2 of his Memoirs. The objective of this Scholarship is to
motivate ITE students to excel in their training and to encourage life-long learning.
The TESS Fund was established in 1993, from donations
received from companies, individuals and staff of ITE, Singapore Polytechnic,
Ngee Ann Polytechnic, Nanyang Polytechnic and Temasek Polytechnic, in memory of
the late Dr Tay Eng Soon, former Chairman of ITE and Minister-in-Charge of
polytechnic and technical education (October 1981 to August 1993).
Who’s Eligible?
ITE graduates who are currently pursuing a full-time Polytechnic Diploma, ITE Technical Diploma and are Singaporeans or Singapore Permanent Residents.
Requirements
- Achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.5 and above for their highest level ITE qualification courses;
- Achieved good records of active participation in co-curricular activities (CCA); and
- Is not financially sponsored by an employer
