Recognise the role and significance of regular grooming in maintaining a pet’s overall health, hygiene, and well-being.
Demonstrate different scissoring techniques and apply them to cut straight lines and rounded shapes safely and accurately.
Demonstrate the ability to perform a full basic grooming procedure on a pet, encompassing bathing, drying, brushing, scissoring, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and sanitary clipping to ensure the pet's health and comfort.
Understand and apply the key principles of the Code of Animal Welfare (Pet Industry) to ensure ethical, responsible, and humane practices in pet grooming.
Entry requirements
The course is suitable for beginners, with no prior grooming experience needed.
